Model HMS-SP from Siemens is a Single-Action Intelligent Manual Fire Alarm Box constructed of durable, molded and polycarbonate material matte finished in red with raised white lettering containing Portuguese-only text. Used for installations in the Latin Americas, the housing accommodates a pull-down lever, which, when operated, locks until the manual fire alarm box has been activated. The pull-down lever remains down and locked until the manual fire alarm box is reset. Model HMS-SP is only resettable by manually opening the hinged housing cover with an Allen key and then closing and locking the cover. The microcomputer chip found in each Model HMS-SP box has the capacity of storing, in memory, identification information as well as important operating status information. Model HMS-SP is programmed via use of the Programmer / Tester (Model DPU).
