The Virtual Network Tunnel (VNT) from Siemens Industry, Inc. is an efficient means for real time communications, as part of a Fire Command Center or a Building network. A VNT includes a fanless, headless industrial computer. VNT receives its operating power from a Siemens Modular (or FireFinder) panel. This communication terminal is responsible for supporting the intercommunication of system components, transporting HNET, XNET and DNET supervision and monitoring between VNTs via voice-over-internet protocol (VoIP). The VNT routes audio over other VoIP when required between VNTs. The VNT Gateway both generates and distributes audio.
