Description
The Outdoor Fire Beacon Bracket (OFB) is made of 16 Gauge cold rolled steel, Powder Coat painted Red and marked “FIRE” with 1” tall letters. The back of the unit has a standard “device mount” and “4” Sq” mounting hole spacing and an oversized wiring pull through hole. The front cover is angled to prevent water intrusion into the unit. The beacon is mounted to a threaded 1/2 inch diameter pipe nipple on the top of the unit. The cover opens from the front of the unit with 4 screws and has plenty of room to work on the beacon’s connections.
This unit is designed to accept any Beacon that mounts to a 1/2” nipple. The diameter of the beacon can not exceed 6”. Two suggested sources for Fire rated beacons are Tomar (model 500P) and Cooper-Wheelock (model MAX). Both have 1/2 inch threaded bases and come in a variety of colors and voltages.
