The ZB-4-QC-MP Zone Box is a moisture resistance enclosure intended to house termination wiring between Protectowire PHSC & PLR type detectors and copper feed cable, as well as end of line device. The illustration below depicts a typical wiring dressing of a Zone Box ZB-4-QC-MP in a Class B detection circuit of a fire alarm system using Protectowire as the detector. It is important to notice the detector may be connected directly to the terminal strip and that all bends in the Protectowire should have a radius of at least 2.5 inches (6.4cm). Not recommended for outdoor use in direct sunlight. For further information on detector splicing see diagram provided with splicing devices and in installation guide for Protectowire.
