Fire Watch
National Law and Codes dictate that a Fire Watch is to be put in place if a building’s fire alarm system, fire sprinkler system, or fire suppression system is out of order for a period exceeding four hours.
Whether this is a pre-planned outage or not, it is important Fire Watch is instated in order to ensure your building, campus, or facility is properly protected from fire.
FireAlarm.com’s highly trained and certified Fire Watch Guard is ready to meet your needs in an emergency. Our personnel are trained to evaluate a building or premises in order to properly cover all areas while your fire alarm system is out of service.
Our Fire Watch’s tasks include the following:
- Notifying the fire department and building occupants to an emergency
- Keeping diligent watch for fires
- Preventing a fire from occurring
- Extinguishing small fires using a portable fire extinguisher or hose
- Protecting the public from fire or life safety dangers
- Warning the occupants of any hazardous conditions requiring evacuation
